A 1985 framed etching/aquatint printed on handmade wove paper by Yuko Shiraishi (b 1956 Tokyo). Shiriashi moved to London in 1978 to study painting at the Chelsea School of Art and is represented by Annely Juda Fine Art. This piece showcases Shiraishi's early engagement with minimalism and structural repetition. Features a central square plate mark filled with a dense, rhythmic pattern of organic, interlocking cell-like shapes in cobalt blue and black with lines. It is signed and numbered (of) both on the page and internally in the frame. It is float mounted and framed in a black stained deep frame. Please see photos and condition description.
