A sculptural tall pair of 'Ashrafi' lamps, handmade in India for Terence Conran's Habitat in the early 1990s. Made entirely from steel, including the brilliant folded steel shades with threaded ring details and footed plinth bases. Original wire, new plugs, PAT tested. Size: 70cms tall, 17cms wide at base, 21.5cms wide at shade approx. Heavy; each weighs approx. 2.5kg.
Condition: Both have been well looked after but have surface age and light wear: both have some dulling, light tarnish, some general age darkening and occasional marks (I haven't tried to clean or polish these), some patina irregularities, some light scratches and scuffs, some handmade imperfections and slight shape irregularities between the two otherwise in good vintage condition.
