A sculptural pair of Art Deco style 20th century turned tall conical vessels (which could be used as vases or planters, I have seen one similar example used to hold marble spheres) with zinc inserts. Handmade from turned walnut with ebonised bases and trims, spherical side lugs. Beautifully made. Please see photos and condition description.
Size: 30cms tall, 12.5cms wide at rim approximately. The zinc inserts measure 10cms tall, 9cms wide at top. Heavy, each vessel weighs approximately 900g.
Condition: Generally in very good condition with some age wear: a hairline crack on from rim down (one of which is very subtle with no separation, the more visible one is pictured in photos); some light scuffs, light surface wear, light patination variation; zinc inserts are oxidised internally and age darkened, marked and worn.
