A 1980s sand cast bronze and aluminium sculptural brutalist clock. This was made by the Spanish design house Ardisur, who worked alongside and shared a style and material palette with the iconic designer David Marshall. This clock is made from hand sand cast aluminium with cast bronze numerals and riveted base, with a brass clock mechanism cover. Lovely intentional casting imperfections are present and the face is stamped AS for Ardisur. This has been fitted with a new quartz mechanism, painted hands. Battery not included. Size: 20.5cms tall, 12.5cms wide, 9.5cms deep approximately; heavy, weighs approximately 1.8kg.
Condition: Lovely intentional casting imperfections are present; some tarnish to underside and back with a little verdigris; fitted with a new quartz mechanism (I can't provide a guarantee for the quartz mechanism, but it is easily replaceable). Please see photos.
