Sculptural slip cast vase form designed by Carol McNicoll in the 1980s for Next Interiors. Pleated abstract asymmetric flattened form with painterly marks in cobalt blue and sprayed dark pink. Carol McNicoll (1943-2025) was an English studio potter whose work was mainly decorative slipcast ware. This was part of a range of multiples designed for Next Interiors between 1985-86. Size: 25cms tall, 15cms wide, 5cms deep approximately.
Condition: A hairline crack to the surface of the vase on the pleated bottom edge with a small shallow chip to the base (barely noticeable), please see photos 21 and 22. Otherwise in very good condition externally with some evidence of use internally.
