An early studio work 1990s small hand cast and finished pewter catchall bowl by the South African artist and designer Carrol Boyes (1954-2019). The sculptural form features scrollwork feet (a recurring motif in early Carrol Boyes), a sunburst rim with embossed and inscribed triangles and three scroll feet. Stamped verso 'C. Boyes'. Carrol Boyes was originally a sculptor and designed playful everyday objects which she referred to as 'functional art'. Please see photos and condition description.

Condition: Handmade imperfections and casting irregularities, tool marks; light scratches and scuffs; light wear and age darkening internally otherwise in very good vintage condition.
