A pair of vintage sculptural brutalist urns vessels. Roughly hand sand cast in raw aluminium with lots of natural casting imperfections, texture, tool marks and wonderful inscribed lines. Urn shaped with stepped pedestal bases. Incised foundry mark/monogram to bases. Please see photos.
Size: The smaller vessel is 22cms tall, 12cms wide at base; the larger is 24cms tall; 17cms wide at base approximately. The smaller urn has a narrow aperture opening, the larger is much wider. Very heavy! Together these weigh approximately 7kg.
Condition: rough imperfect texture; lots of sand casting imperfections, air bubbles, tool marks etc; light oxidation internally and externally; a little marked (more so the smaller urn); a few scuffs otherwise in very good condition.
