A sculptural stoneware wall relief with painterly glaze by Scottish sculptor and Royal Scottish Academician Frank Pottinger (1932-2022). Pottinger worked in ceramic, bronze and printmaking, taking ideas from landscape and archeology and abstracting them into repeated motifs. Printed label verso. Condition: Generally in very good condition with some process flaws (a hairline crack runs down the back and internally, the crack at the back has been visibly mended with slip and is integral to the form, I believe this is from the kiln and it does not affect the robust structure of the piece).
