Postmodern style pair of handmade candle holders in steel and glass. Wonderful tall sculptural wavy asymmetric forms, artisan made, one of a kind. Forged welded steel with brushed bases, circular motifs inlaid with heavy textured cast glass in cobalt blue and very pale ochre (the glass has been cast into the metal). To fit dinner candles (sorry candles not included). Age and history unknown, assumed circa 1980s/90s. Please see photos and condition description.
Size: 39.5cms tall, 18.5cms wide, base is 12cms deep approx.
Condition: Handmade imperfections and irregularities. The steel has been lacquered and there are areas of rust on the top planes around the edges under the lacquer and also on the bases there is some loss of lacquered surface with some rust patches below. There are also some small insignificant rust spots on the verticals. Please see photos. Otherwise in good vintage condition.
