Wonderful vintage plaster cast classical style female torso mounted on steel bar and plaster plinth cast to look like stone. White plaster with a light wash of ochre colour. Please see photos. Slightly roughly cast with lots of wonderful uneven surface imperfections. Heavy, approx. 1.2kg. Please see condition description.
Size: The overall size is 25cms tall, 10cms wide, 8.5cms deep approx. and the torso is approx. 16cms tall.
Condition: The base has some small insignificant scratches and small chips and dings.The torso is quite scratched in some areas. There are lots of imperfections from the hand plaster casting - lots of little air bubbles etc. The cast has an aged patina along with a light ochre wash in places. On the back of the shoulders there are some slightly darker uneven ochre patches which look like varnish? I didn't want to try and remove and damage the surface, also I quite like all the imperfections! Otherwise in good condition with age related imperfections. Please see photos.
