Sculptural deep organic form ashtray or trinket pot made from heavy hand sand cast aluminium by Ardisur. Ardisur were part of a brutalist style school of design and fabrication and worked alongside the better known David Marshall in Spain in the 1970s/80s. Wonderful raw hand made tactile qualities, air bubbles and imperfections and a hand filed and filled finish. No two of these are exactly the same and the process is evident in the finished piece. Leather underside, stamped Ardisur with some imperfections. Heavy. Please see photos and condition description.

Condition: Aluminium in good condition with some light infrequent tarnish. Leather coming away from base at edges and Ardisur stamp has faded but still faintly evident. Otherwise in good condition without much evidence of use.
