A sculptural brutalist small catchall tray. Made from pieced hexagonal hand sand cast brass and aluminium. Lovely casting imperfections, obviously hand made tactile qualities and a hand filed, filled and polished finish. Monogram stamped to front and authenticated printed leather verso. Fabricated by the artist, designer and sculptor David Marshall (b. 1942) in Spain in the 1980s. Please see photos and condition description.
Size: 13cms wide, 1cm deep approximately.
Condition: In very good vintage condition with light wear: the aluminium has tarnished and oxidised a little and there is a little tarnish around the outer rim; some light general surface wear; some marks to leather; lovely casting imperfections and tool marks.
